Content A lot of the more trollish comments concern a months old journal entry challenging the horde to deliver a useful and non insulting critique, using the assumption that they were not capable of doing so. As surmised they were not.
What's most surprising is that it continues to draw the ire of ED people after so long. Generally I pose a question to the dissenters: Is it not more logical to disregard that which you hate or have no interest in, and instead to spend your time on something you do enjoy? This question usually goes unanswered. If one such raging child answered "Yes, it is more logical' then their constant page watching and insulting remarks show their hypocrisy. If they were to answer "No, it is not more logical," they are likely lacking in common sense or suffer some debilitating brain issue. In the case of the latter I'd be sympathetic, at least.
You'd think at some point people would find something better to do, but it speaks volumes of their lack of intelligence and maturity. I believe that many are literally incapable of writing constructive and non-insulting critique. I get what I can from it anyway, some such comments have decent advice. So it's been quite helpful in a sort of twisted way.
We can only hope that someday these people will turn 16 and start becoming too busy with high school to continue raging and being idiotic on the internet. I imagine keyboard sales will go down since there won't be as many of them smashing them to bits on their parent's tables, but oh well.

Honestly just do the smart thing and move on because right now, you look like the guy trying to get his ex-girlfriend's attention and it's funny but also kind of sad to see.
It's not a plea for attention, it's here on my own page. If they see it, it's because they were already here on my page to begin with, whether I was attempting to draw people or not.
I use my own page for my own purposes. How people react is entirely up to them.
You say that some of the comments had helpful advice. And yet, despite the face that both the insulting and non insulting comments criticized you on the same grounds, you have yet to improve.
If some of the comments were helpful, why haven't you implemented any of them? Why has all the art you have produced since that journal has been the same as the are before it, and with the exact same flaws?
Oh, and also: I enjoy hating things.
I advise you to not be so quick to assume things.
And I am not surprised that you do, it shows your social incompetence.
If you're going to claim somebody who asks you a honest question on your improvement has "social incompetence"...
...it's no wonder you're getting insulting critiques if you're relentlessly insulting these people and predisposed against them.

I mean, neither of us can prove or disprove our point without you showing art. But due to your highly unusual and avoidant nature of your response to being asked to see it, it is not unreasonable to be doubtful of what you say.
Also, almost all of the criticism you received was about the size, shape and other tributes of the breasts in your art. As well as other criticism regarding topics of a sexual nature. If you say that you have implemented said advice in your portfolio, am I to understand that you art portfolio also consists mostly of drawings of sexy cat girls?
You may be doubtful of what I say if you wish, it's no concern of mine whether you believe it or not. I will only present portfolio worthy additions to clients for specific projects, not here on dA, where I am content to post simple commission work, requests, and the like.
And you are wrong to understand the content of my portfolio. I already advised you to not assume.
Also stemming from your explanation is that, despite improving, you continue to go out of your way to intentionally repeat your old mistakes when making art for DA.
I am sure my doubts do not concern you, regardless, you should know that anyone who reads this exchange will probably come to the logical conclusion that it is more likely that you have not improved.
Also, I don't want to look at your portfolio. Anything you show from this point on will raise the suspicion that you recently to try and prove a point. So any chance of you redeeming yourself had effectively gone out the window.
I have improved. You don't have to believe it, as in my view you were predisposed against me from the moment you came here. You like hating things, after all. My word is good enough, and if it isn't for you, that's just tough rocks.
I have no desire to 'redeem' myself to you, as I have done no wrong. 'Redeeming' myself in your eyes would be far more likely to be a detriment to me.

in all seriousness I don't care about Tom preston or his work for my own reasons but instead of going around saying "grr I hate this guy, who lives miles away from me and wont ever meet me" I just don't care about him or what he does so I just don't pay attention to him.
I don't get why people just like to rant and rave like mad monkeys. I'm all for opinions and giving one, when people ask me about Bleedman or Tom I just say "I'm not a fan." and leave it at that.

It's no comparison of me to him, it's that I challenged the people littering his page with crap to do something useful and they flew off the handle.
Honestly I don't mind criticism, and yeah I know that he has a reputation of not taking criticism
but after years of just

They say that, but when the person improves they ignore it completely and never let go of the past and go "oh he still did THAT"...about years ago
and I've seen Tom improve and he seems to be changing and I'm sure he's a great guy, and I'm not going to judge someone I don't fully know
and even his humor is getting better
but honestly I say we both ignore that internet hate machine and let them rage while we be normal users and have a good time on here uvu
