The only thing the newer one has better is shading on the dress. Everything about the older one is better.
-lineart is rougher
-that dress still defies gravity. It needs something to hold it up, like shoulder straps, or make it end higher up the breasts so the breasts will hold it up.
-the front/back is inconsistant. In the backside the middle is higher up and the butt is farther down than the front side. I recommend copy and paste the front side and flip it. Then use that as an outline for the back side. That way both will be consistant.
-even less room for organs. Where the hell is her stomach?
-life-less eyes. The way the eyes are drawn makes her look lifeless, darker pupils will fix that really easily.
-tumor thighs. There is no way she could walk with such large thighs, they would keep hitting eachother. Tone it down a bit.
-her tail is slapped onto her dress. The tail starts at the tailbone, which is right where the start of the butt is. Move the cut of the dress down or the butt/tail higher and it will be fixed.
-the black lines on her butt make it look like the dress is wedged up there, it looks unnatural.
well, my freshlook tells me that the left picture is more direct, fine lines, light and shade, smooth contours, more detailed, lively look left and doll look right. and the colors of course! Yes, to each his own, and for me - left.
The old one is a more conventional colouring style with much more details but the new one is going for a more simplistic and easier to draw style.
What would make the best look in my opinion is the colouring style of the old one with the line art of the new one.
Then again can't really compare as they are so different.
I'm actually torn between which I like more because well, they both were meant to achieve different visual looks.
